Back Bay luxury condo owners criticize Boylston St. building
Boston’s Back Bay residents are up in arms about new plans to build a residential/commercial building at 927-939 Boylston Street.
A local developer is planning a real estate development onto the existing 113-year-old home of the Boston Back Bay Tennis and Racquetball Club.
The Back Bay Neighborhood Association has been vocal about the proposal, claiming that it defies the architectural character of the block and adds too much density to the parcel.
The plan calls for 15 new Boston Back Bay luxury condominiums among eight floors, office space on the second floor and retail on the first floor. There would also be 35 parking spaces in the garage, of which some would be for the Boston luxury condos.
